It takes a supportive community, friendly mentors, access to funding, innovative tools and resources to help young women design their dream lives.

At The Luminary, we are transforming lives by giving women the tools and resources to start, grow and build thriving start-up businesses. Through our own experiences and help from partners, we give them access to industry knowledge and a network of like-minded women. This platform has been refined to help develop small and medium businesses.

We have learnt first-hand that using available skills and technological edge can lead companies towards a successful future.

Bontle Tshole

With close to a decade of combined experience in various businesses, Bontle has gained a wealth of experience and skills.

Passionate about business and innovation, Bontle founded The Luminary to provide a supportive and inspiring environment where young women create and build their businesses, become financially independent and transform their communities.

One of the biggest highlights for her was being recognised by Unilever and Sunlight as one of their female-owned business brand ambassadors. Selected as part of the Forbes 30 Under 30 2021 cohort, she has also been recognised as one of Mail and Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans 2021 and is a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation goalkeeper 2022.

With her passion and expertise, Bontle Tshole has managed to take both Baaa Health and The Luminary to new heights.
